My long distance boyfriend is currently enduring Summer Plebe at the United States Naval Academy, in Annapolis, Maryland. Growing up, his mother and father broke up, because she couldn't handle his father being away from home so much. He expects that I won't be able to handle it either. He is expecting me to break up with him, because "I'll decided it isn't worth it". The thing is, I want a life with him...All my thoughts of the future have him in it. And not a picture perfect, disneyesque future. A REAL future, with him as an aviator. In my dreams of the future, he isn't there every second of every day...I see him every 6 months, welcoming him home at the airport, and jumping into his arms. We're in love...he loves me, and I love him...Yet, he's convinced I'll find someone better...someone closer to home. He continuously tells me that he "won't blame me" or "won't think any less of me" when I leave him. The way he states it, he has no question in his mind. He seems to think me leaving him is inevitable. If there is ANY way, any way in the world, to make him believe me...to assure him of my feelings for him, what is it? Is there any RIGHT way to say it?
